The idea that an audience might have Palin booed seems preposterous. Nicely, at least for some people. It seems it did happen, on “Dancing with the Stars”. However, it may depend on who you ask. Palin attended an episode, as her daughter Bristol Palin is a contestant this season. Bristol Palin isn’t really off to a bad start either. She’s doing fairly good on the show so far.
Most judges were the objective of boos
Certainly, Sarah Palin has a good reason for being there. Bristol is on “Dancing with the Stars”. During the show, Jennifer Grey got critiqued by the most judges, and a round of boos came from the viewers, as outlined by USA Today. During the boos, the camera panned down to the judges. However, when zooming in, there sat the most famous also-ran in the world. Even Tom Bergeron, one of the show’s most judges, said the boos were not for Palin. He insisted, when he was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, that the boos were from the score the panel gave Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. Palin really got applause from the audience.
By the numbers
Bristol Palin really did pretty very well. She scored a 22. Squarely at the top of the middle range of scores sits Bristol Palin, so she’s safe. There’s a reason why 80s artists like Metallica aren’t on this show, and artists like Michael Bolton are, who scored a grand total of 12, according to the Los Angeles Times. The crooner is next for the firing line. The former professional athletes are doing nicely, as may be expected. Rick Fox and Kurt Warner both got results of 21. The rest of the bottom was expected. Margaret Cho, Florence Henderson, and “The Situation” are all good picks for the next person to get booted.
So far, so good, so what?
So far, this season is off to a flying start. Having Bristol Palin, a media sensation since it was announced that she was pregnant though many pregnancies go unreported on, certainly helps ratings. That said, there is a huge draw for this show. The draw is that “Baby” from “Dirty Dancing” is a contestant. Jennifer Grey became a cultural icon for the role, and so far she still seems to have her chops.
